Yarborough Applegate is proud to announce that six of our attorneys have once again been named South Carolina Super Lawyers. The list, compiled each year by Super Lawyers magazine, honors attorneys via a patented multiphase selection process. Following peer nominations, evaluations, and independent research, the honorees are organized by state and select cities, resulting in a list of outstanding attorneys whose careers are built not only on personal achievement, but the recognition of their peers.
This year, our founding partners once again received top distinctions. While both have been named Super Lawyers for the last 10 years, in 2023, David Yarborough was included in South Carolina’s Top 10, and William Applegate in the state’s Top 25. Additionally, both were named to Charleston’s Top 10.
Also on the Super Lawyers list are partners David Lail (a six-time Rising Stars honoree and two-time Super Lawyer) andDouglas Jennings (four-time Rising Star, two-time Super Lawyer).
Once again, Liam Duffy and Perry Buckner have been named among the state’s Rising Stars, a category that recognizes exceptional attorneys ages 40 and under.

Five of our seven attorneys have been named as 2020 Super Lawyers Honorees or Rising Star Honorees, and our founding partner, David Yarborough, has been selected to the Top 10 in Charleston and Top 25 in South Carolina.
