As recently reported by the Charleston Post & Courier, Charleston County has revealed its $1.1B plan to widen I-526, and redesign its interchange with I-26. The plan is projected to have major impacts on many North Charleston homeowners, who run the risk of losing their houses in the path of the interstate extension. The plan is known as the I-526 Lowcountry Corridor West project.
Though the plan will take years to complete, many homeowners are justifiably anxious about their future.
