The ’93 and ’98 Bulls. The ’00s Yankees. The ’02 Lakers. Last month, Yarborough Applegate secured a place in the sports history books among the most esteemed of company: three-peat champs.
For the third year in a row, Yarborough Applegate’s softball team brought home the gold in the Charleston County Bar Softball League. The 2023 season culminated in an exhilarating evening on the diamond with the team winning the back-to-back semi-final and championship games. Our grit and determination were in overdrive in the championship when we fought our way back from an 0-8 deficit in the first inning to secure a 21-11 comeback win.
Every year from June through August, we have a blast competing against teams formed by other Lowcountry law firms and the Charleston School of Law. When we take to the field, we bring the same teamwork and drive that propels us every day on the job. We’re proud to have pulled off this exciting feat—and here’s to a four-peat in 2024!
Each year, Lowcountry law firms and the Charleston School of Law assemble softball teams to compete weekly from June through August. The games are ever-competitive, but they’re also great opportunities to build on the teamwork our firm depends on every day in our legal work and network with other lawyers and law students in the area.
