Yarborough Applegate’s Liam Duffy was invited to speak on October 16, 2020 at the South Carolina Bar CLE Division’s annual “Secrets to a Successful Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Practice” seminar in Columbia. The slate of speakers included several of the top plaintiff’s trial attorneys from across South Carolina and the southeast.
A personal injury attorney and trial lawyer, Duffy spoke on maximizing third-party workplace injury claims. His talk provided attendees with practical tips for spotting these kinds of cases, working them up aggressively to improve results, and ultimately trying them to a jury. Duffy cited a number of Yarborough Applegate cases, including his recent $21 million wrongful death verdict, as examples of third-party workplace injury cases in which the firm was able to achieve favorable results.
