Eminent Domain: Don’t Negotiate on Your Own

Posted: August 27, 2019

As recently reported by the Charleston Post & Courier, Charleston County has revealed its $1.1B plan to widen I-526, and redesign its interchange with I-26. The plan is projected to have major impacts on many North Charleston homeowners, who run the risk of losing their houses in the path of the interstate extension. The plan is known as the I-526 Lowcountry Corridor West project.

Though the plan will take years to complete, many homeowners are justifiably anxious about their future. Yarborough Applegate represents landowners whose property is being taken by the government which falls under an area of law known as Eminent Domain If you believe you are at risk of losing part of your property, please contact our attorneys about your potential options.
