David Lail Elected to the South Carolina Association for Justice Board of Governors

Posted: July 12, 2017

Late last month, the South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) elected attorney David Lail to its Board of Governors as a representative of the Ninth Judicial Circuit. This honor comes on the heels of another recent award for Lail, being selected to the 2017 South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, which is a status that fewer than 2.5% of attorneys under age 40 receive.

According to Lail, “SCAJ plays an absolutely critical role in protecting the rights of individuals as well as preserving our ability as plaintiffs’ lawyers to do this work we’ve chosen. It’s an honor to be elected to the Board and I’m ready to get to work.”

Founded in the late 1950’s, the South Carolina Association for Justice, formerly known as the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, started as a small group of trial lawyers and has since grown into a large and impactful membership organization for attorneys across the state. SCAJ works to uphold and defend the constitutions of our state and nation and “fight tirelessly to protect the rights of the individual; to seek justice through open and fair courtrooms; to resist unjust laws; to support policies that hold wrongdoers accountable; to strengthen the civil justice system through education; and to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in the legal profession.”
