Three of Yarborough Applegate’s attorneys were named 2017 South Carolina Super Lawyers. We congratulate David Yarborough, William Applegate, and David Lail for receiving a recognition that fewer than five percent of lawyers receive. We are also proud to announce that David Lail, a part of our team since 2011, was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a status that fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys under age 40 receive.
According to Super Lawyers, attorneys are selected for the honor through peer nomination, then evaluated and independently researched. They also explain, “Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and folks needing legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, we limit the lawyer ratings to those who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.”
We are proud to carry this distinction for the fifth year running, and congratulate our fellow Super Lawyers both in South Carolina and elsewhere on the honor. To learn more, read the recent edition of Super Lawyers magazine.
