We are proud of our attorney Christopher Bryant for working on an important civil rights case on behalf of the parents of a student at Richland One’s Hand Middle School. Thank you to John Monk at The State for being the first to share this story, which you can read in its entirety here.
Bryant’s official statement on the case is as follows, “The unfortunate events described in the complaint should not occur at Hand Middle or any other school in the state. All children should have an opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive environment. We attempted to resolve this situation without filing a lawsuit before the school year began, but we were unable to open a line of dialogue with the school district. Now that a lawsuit has been filed, we look forward to working with Richland One to quickly and meaningfully address the issues in the complaint. Until we hear from the school district, there’s not much more that I can add.”
