September 15 through October 15 marks National Hispanic Heritage Month, a full month of celebrating the “histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.” Here at Yarborough Applegate, we value the members of our Hispanic community, and we make it a priority to celebrate their contributions, as well as help them when they are in need.
When we learned that about 30% North Charleston’s R.B. Stall High School students are enrolled in an English as a Second Language (ESOL) program, Founder and Partner William Applegate—who is fluent in Spanish and lived in Spain—donated a gift on behalf of the firm to support a handful of important ESOL initiatives, ranging from sending students on field trips to publishing a book of their own short stories.
