South Carolina Association for Justice’s spring edition of the Justice Bulletin is out, and its cover story is by Yarborough Applegate’s own Liam Duffy. “AI in LegalTech: Here to Stay, so Start Dabbling” is Duffy’s latest thought leadership grounded in firsthand case experience.
In the article, Duffy surveys the rapidly evolving landscape and cites a number of ways AI-driven technologies can augment an attorney’s work. While these tools will never replace critical thinking and analysis, he notes, they can be used as a helpful starting point for legal research and writing or a valuable time-saver summarizing depositions and documents. With a snapshot of tools and suggested starting points provided, the article serves as a helpful resource for lawyers who are ready to dabble in LegalTech and explore the ways AI can help them better serve their clients.
Yarborough Applegate attorney Liam Duffy continues his thought leadership amongst trial lawyers in his latest published article, “The Golden Rule in Opening Statement and Closing Argument: What It Is and What It Isn’t.”
His presentation focused on obtaining and utilizing forensic cell phone evidence in litigation, specifically in regards to trucking/tractor trailer cases.
The seminar was devoted to sharing and collaborating on strategies for discovery, depositions, and trial and included a star-studded lineup of trial lawyers recruited by Duffy from across South Carolina and the country.
