Yarborough Applegates Gives $10,000 To The Post & Courier’s Good Cheer Fund

Posted: January 9, 2015

Yarborough Applegate deepened its commitment to the greater Charleston community with a $10,000 contribution to the Post & Courier’s Good Cheer Fund for the fourth consecutive year. Since 1927, contributions to the Good Cheer Fund have helped those in need in the Tri-County area during the holidays. Six charitable organizations share the funds, including Star Gospel Mission, Association for the Blind, Catholic Charities, Carolina Youth Development Center, Lowcountry Food Bank and The Salvation Army.

Both David Yarborough and William Applegate view their charitable work as an extension of their work as litigators – with a goal to make a difference in the lives of those who need a helping hand.

“It’s a privilege for us to serve the citizens of South Carolina, as legal advocates and members of the community,” said David Yarborough. “South Carolina has always been so supportive of us, and we’re fortunate to be able to give back to the communities in which we were raised, attended school, and are growing a business.”

Those who wish to donate are invited to make their tax-deductible contributions to the Good Cheer Fund, c/o The Post and Courier, 134 Columbus St., Charleston, SC 29403-4800 or via their website.
