Yarborough Applegate has continued its community involvement with a donation to The Palmetto Palace, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides short-term emergency assistance to families and caregivers of hospitalized critical care patients.

Earlier this month, The Palmetto Palace revitalized its effort to bring health care awareness and services to citizens of District 45 which encompasses Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Colleton, and Jasper Counties. The Palmetto Palace’s Mobile Care Unit honors Senator Rev. Clementa C. Pinckney who was heavily involved in the original planning of the Mobile Unit prior to his untimely death at the Emanuel AME Church in June.

At a televised press conference on November 10, 2015, The Palmetto Palace unveiled its vision for the Mobile Care Unit alongside family and friends of Pinckney at MUSC. David Lail, one of our attorneys, addressed the media and members of the community in support of the initiative stating in part, “We are proud to put our resources to work for The Palmetto Palace.”

Yarborough Applegate is honored to work with organizations like The Palmetto Palace that endeavor to help those who need it most – like the individuals and families faced with the unique challenges a medical crisis presents.
